What We Believe

  1. INSPIRATION OF THE SCRIPTURES

We believe in the verbal and plenary inspiration by God of the original writings of the Old and New Testaments, consisting of 66 books; that they remain inerrant and infallible, as they themselves claim; that they were written down by men who were filled with the Holy Spirit and therefore the Bible is the supreme and complete revelation of the will of God for men. We accept it as the supreme authority in all that it declares, and it is our rule/guide for faith and daily practice.

 Matthew5:18; I Corinthians 2:9-13; II Timothy.3:16; II Timothy 2:15; Hebrews 4:12; II Peter1:19-20; Revelation 22:18-19.

  1. THE PERSON OF GOD AND THE TRINITY

We believe in the only, eternal, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, God, Jehovah; who is immutable, holy, just, merciful, loving and supreme. He reveals Himself in three persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit—identical in nature, attributes, power and glory.

Deuteronomy6:4; Deuteronomy 32:4; Psalm 90:2; Psalm 100:5; Psalms 139:7-10; Psalms 147:5; Isaiah 6:3; Isaiah 44:6-8; Matthew 3:6,16-17; Matthew 28:19; Luke 1:37; Romans 11:36; I Corinthians 8:6; Ephesians 1:3-10; Revelation 4:11.

  1. THE PERSON OF JESUS CHRIST

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and that He became God in the flesh, truly God and truly man. He died on the cross to pay the wages of sin, rose again on the third day, and ascended to heaven as the only Savior of the world. We believe that Jesus Christ sits at the right hand of God as our Savior, Mediator, High Priest, Advocate and Lord. We believe that Jesus died for all and that He wants all men to be saved.

Isaiah7:14;Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 19:10; John 1:1-4; John 10:17-18; Acts 1:9; Romans 1:3; Romans 4:9; I Corinthians 15:3-4; II Corinthians 5:21; Colossians 1:15-17; Hebrews 1:8; Hebrews 9:24; I Peter 3:18; 1 John 2:2.

  1. THE PERSON OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine Being, possessing all the attributes of personality and godliness. He is equal to the Father and the Son, and is of the same nature. His principal mission in this ungodly world is to reprove the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment, regenerating repentant sinners. Some of His works in the life of believers include: baptizing them into the body of Christ, sealing them eternally, abiding in them, filling them with His fullness, leading and teaching them to walk in the ways of righteousness and holiness.

John 7:39; John 16:7-13; John 14:26; Acts 1:8; I Corinthians 3:16; I Corinthians 6:19; I Corinthians 13:8-10; Ephesians 1:13-14; Ephesians 5:18; II Timothy1:7; I John 5:7.

  1. THE FALL OF MAN

We believe that man was created by a direct act of God, in His image, perfect and holy. However, man voluntarily transgressed the divine prohibition and falling away from the grace of God, he lost the state of perfection and holiness that the Creator had given him, corrupting himself in all his faculties. As a consequence of the fall, all men are sinners. For this reason, all men are found under the condemnation of eternal punishment without any excuse or human defense.

Genesis1:27; Genesis 2:7; Genesis 3:6; John 3:18; Romans 5:12; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; II Thessalonians 1:7-9; Revelation 20:11-15.

  1. SALVATION OF SINNERS

We believe that salvation is only by grace of God and that man can be saved only by grace through faith in the blood of Jesus Crist. Grace is the love of God, giving, His Son as the only perfect and sufficient sacrifice to pay for the sin of mankind. Man can receive this gift of God through only repentance of sin and faith in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. True faith never can be separate from true repentance. Salvation never can be obtained by good works or the merits of men. Salvation in Jesus Christ is complete in and of itself and is sufficient to cleanse and justify man before God. It is the Lord’s desire for all men to be saved.

 Job1;12; Job 3:3-6; Job 5:24; Job 10:28-29; Luke 5:32; Luke 13:3,5; John 17:4; John 3:16; Acts 4:12; Romans 11:6; Romans 3:24; 5:8; II Corinthians 5:17; Ephesians 2:8-9; I Timothy 2:5-6; I Peter 1:18-23; II Peter 1:4; II Peter 3:9.

  1. ASSURANCE OF SALVATION

We believe that salvation in Jesus Christ is complete and secure forever. The saved man becomes a child of God, secure in the Triune Person of God, and it is impossible to lose the eternal life that God has given. The believer that sins loses fellowship but never loses his salvation.

Job 5:24; John 1:12; John 4:24; John 6:36-40; John 10:27,30; Rom.8:38-39; I Peter1:5; I John 5:11-13.

  1. SEPARATION OF THE BELIEVER

We believe that every child of God should be separate from religious apostasy (that which is not sound doctrine from the Word of God) and from the sinful ways and practices of the world. He should be separated unto God. This means being separate from groups, organizations, and fashions of the world that do not glorify God, and from churches that teach false doctrine, so that he may become more like Christ.

II Corinthians 6:14-7:1; Galatians 5:7-13

  1. THE TRUE CHURCH

9.1 THE BODY OF CHRIST-ORGANISM

We believe, that the church is the Body and the Bride of Christ, of which Christ is the Head and the believers in Christ are the members, without distinction among them, and that against this church the gates of hell will never prevail. The Church is a divine and distinct institution in the New Testament.

Matthew 16:18; Acts 2:1-4; I Corinthians.12:12; Ephesians 1:2223; Ephesians 3:5,6; Ephesians 5:23-27; Colossians 1:18; I Thessalonians 4:13-18.

9.2 BODY OF CHRIST-ORGANIZATION

We believe, that each local church consists of a group of repentant, regenerate and baptized people joined together by a doctrinal declaration with the goal of seeking the edification of the Body of Christ by adoration of the Living God, evangelization of sinners, systematic teaching of the Word of God, and the observation of baptism and the Lord’s supper. The officials of the local church, as recognized in Scriptures, are two:

  • bishops, elders or pastors, and 2) deacons, whose qualifications and duties are clearly defined in the epistles to Timothy and Titus.

Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15 Acts 1:8; Acts 2:41-42; Acts 6:2-6; I Corinthians 8:1; I Timothy 3; I Timothy 5:17-18: Titus 1; Hebrews 13:17; I Peter 5:1-3.

  1. THE RETURN OF JESUS CHRIST

We believe that Jesus Christ ascended into heaven and “shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.” He will return in the clouds at any moment prior to the seven years of tribulation to receive the dead in Christ and those Christians living at that time. At the end of the tribulation, He will return in power and glory to reign over the earth for a thousand years with His saints. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the saints to eternal life in Heaven with God and Jesus Christ. Also, we believe in the bodily resurrection of the unbelievers to the Great White Throne Judgment and their eternal, conscious suffering in the Lake of Fire.

Isaiah 2:1-4; Acts 1:9; Actos 1:11; I Corinthians 15:52; I Thessalonians 4:15-17; I John 3:2; Revelation 5:10; Revelation 20:4; Revelation 20:11-15.

  1. SATAN

We believe that Satan, and his demons were created by God, but are fallen angels because of sin. Satan is the author of sin, the enemy of God, who will be cast into the Lake of Fire in torment and eternal separation from God. Today, Satan is the prince of the air, the father of lies, attempting to take mankind together with him into the eternal Lake of Fire. The believer can have victory over Satan and over all his demons when he depends on the power of Christ.

Isaiah 14:12-14; Ezekiel 28:15; Ephesians 2:2; II Corinthians 4:4; I Peter 5:8; Matthew 25:41; James 4:7-8; Ephesians 6:11-18; John 16:11; John 8:44; Hebrews 2:14; I John 3:8; Revelation 12:7-9; 20:10.

  1. ETERNAL DESTINIES

We believe that Heaven is for the believers in Jesus Christ and that it is a perfect place, without sin, where believers will live forever with God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.

John 14:1-4; Revelation 22:1-22:6.

We believe that Hell is for Satan and all his demons, where they will suffer torment and affliction forever in the Lake of Fire, never to be annihilated. Unbelievers who rejected forgiveness and the divine sacrifice will also be condemned to the Lake of Fire. We believe that God never elects anyone for hell, but that all who reject are inexcusable.

Matthew 25:41; John 3:19; Romans 1:20; Revelation 20:10-15.
